About Victoria

American clarinetist Dr. Victoria Deutsch is an avid performer, educator, and researcher. She has performed internationally and throughout the United States. Her teaching and research has reached individuals of all ages and levels of music education.

Victoria is currently located in Southwest Germany teaching and freelancing in the surrounding areas. She was previously the Admissions Coordinator and Senior Recruitment Specialist for the University of Missouri’s School of Music where she also taught general music courses and clarinet. Alongside performing and teaching, Victoria also serves as the Vice President of Music Ancestry, a non-profit organization that provides a crowd-sourced online database for musicians to track their pedagogical lineage. Previously, Victoria served as the Clarinet Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching clarinet lessons and methods courses, at Michigan State University where she received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Clarinet Performance. Previously, she performed with the Mizzou New Music Ensemble as the Clarinet/ Bass Clarinet Graduate Assistant with whom she premiered many new works. She has performed as a guest soloist with the Missouri Contemporary Ballet, Lyceum Theatre Company, Missouri Symphony, and the University of Missouri Philharmonic. Victoria has also previously performed as guest bass clarinetist with the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra (GA) and as staff clarinetist/bass clarinetist in the Tennessee Valley Winds Festival Faculty Orchestra. Internationally, she has been featured as a soloist and chamber musician in Belgium, Ireland, Germany, and Canada.
